HRP-011-2a - Benefit Type Codes
- In this session, we are going to explore the Benefit Type Codes. The Benefit Type Codes screen is used to add or modify Benefit Type codes. Benefit Type Codes are the first building block in the Benefit setup process. They must be created here before any further benefit setup can be done.
NOTE: Benefit Type Codes cannot be deleted. They are either Active or Inactive and the user can change the status as required.
HRP-011-2b - Benefit Type Definition
- This session will explore the Benefit Type Definition Card in Board Control. It allows the user to define benefit codes and associate them with an appropriate carrier code.
HRP-011-2c - Taxable Percent of Board Premium Share
- In this session, we are going to explore how to define the 'Taxable Percent of Board Premium Share' for employee benefits. This feature is used to ensure appropriate deductions are made on employee pay cheques for each Benefit Type Code defined.
HRP-011-2d - Benefit Coverage
- We are going to explore how to Add and Modify Benefit Coverage for different Employee Group/Benefit Type combinations. Benefit Type Codes must already be defined in the Benefit Type Codes and Benefit Type Definitions screens. In this module, we will be assigning the benefit codes to different employee groups.
NOTE: A single benefit type code may have many employee groups associated with it.
HRP-011-2e - Benefit Premiums
- In this session, we are going to explore how to view and define the Premium Rates for different Benefit Type/Coverage Code Combinations as well as for different sexes and age ranges.
As we learned in a previous tutorial, Coverage Codes are Benefit Type Code/Employee Group combinations. In this module, we will link those Coverage Codes with Benefit Premiums.
